Hop into your time machine & travel to a bygone era. The legendary ovens in this place churn out some of the finest pies around. It’s cash only because what you’re paying for is pure gold. The sausage is crumbled over a cracker-thin crust & the homemade beef will melt in your mouth. The beer is poured at ‘Almost Frozen Pipes Temperatures’ and best shared by the pitcher. A neon haze & holiday lights illuminate the formica & vinyl and frame anything they put on your table in a halo-ish glow. Vito & Nick’s (5/5).

Vito and Nicks is a Chicago thin crust institution. When prepared and cooked properly it is one of the elite pizzas in the city. The south side vibe and Down to earth atmosphere makes this a must visit to anyone looking for a true Chicago thin crust. Looking for something a little different? Try the Italian beef and Giardiniera, you can’t go wrong. Little hole in the wall places like this are gems and need to be appreciated, as more and more chain pizzas invade the neighborhoods. Vito and Nicks have stood the test of time, and with any luck it will be serving their unique thin crust pizzas for a long, long time.

For someone who appreciates “Old School” ambience Vito & Nicks sure delivered! From the carpet on the walls to the teal green 1960’s bar stools the place was perfect. The eating experience revolved around a large thin crust with sausage and a thin crust with roast beef and hot Giardiniera. The crust was exceptional and the sausage was great! However, the roast beef and Giardiniera was amazing! This was my first time eating this particular combination and it most certainly will not be the last! The next time you’re in the Chicago area do yourself a favor and try Vito & Nick’s !
